As already mentioned, the upcoming flagship smartphones from OnePlus will feature an OLED screen with Quad HD+ resolution, 10-bit HDR, and the most interesting, 120Hz refresh rate with a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The company says each of its screens is calibrated to accurate colors with an RGB color temperature sensor with a <0.8 JNCD (Just Noticeable Color Difference) rating. Further, it also suggests that the new technology offers a 4096-level automatic brightness level (over the current 1024-level), which is the highest in Android smartphones....

Not the UI experience you would expect: The phone is still running the Android 7.1 Nougat with Oppo’s own ColourOS custom skin which in my opinion has failed to deliver. It’s not about the performance, but it’s about features which have become a defacto for any Android Smartphone. Right off the bat, I noticed that it did not show any notification icon from apps on top of the screen by default, then there was no app preview during multitasking, in order to remove the notification, I had to swipe, and press delete button, and lastly, there is no option to reboot when you press and hold the power button....

Starting from today, whenever you look up a flight number, route or airline, Google will display a warning if its algorithms are anticipating a delay. To achieve this, the company will scour through a bunch of historical data to form a pattern. It will consider factors such as the location, weather forecasts, and information from the aircraft’s previous trips. If the outcomes are at least 80 percent sure that the flight will be postponed, Google will throw in an alert in the search results....
