That apart the latest leak seems to inadvertently point at the possibility that Samsung Galaxy S7 might be waterproof just like it was the case with Galaxy S5. The unlisted Indonesian commercial called “Get ready for the #TheNextGalaxy” shows off the device being used by an athlete and the video starts getting interesting when it shows off the Indonesian archer Dellie Threesyadinda training in the rain. In the due course of the video there has been no mention of the phones model which in all likelihood points at the upcoming Galaxy S7....

To recall, the Galaxy Z Flip is the second foldable smartphone from the brand but is not necessarily a successor to the Galaxy Fold which follows a different design language. Unlike its big brother, the Galaxy Fold, the Galaxy Z Flip is a clamshell-type device that opens up vertically and folds into a smaller form factor that’s easily pocketable. On the inside of the Galaxy Z Flip is the Snapdragon 855+ chipset and thankfully, Samsung has retained the same internals even for the variant going to be sold in India, unlike the S20 series which gets the Exynos 990 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 865 on the US variants....

It is believed that all these OLED displays, that are reportedly being sourced from Samsung, would be brought to use in Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8. The latest contract signed by Samsung Display and Apple is, in fact, worth $4.3 billion. For those unaware of the development, Apple is rumored to be moving away from the IPS LCD panels for their iPhones and iPads in favour of contemporary OLED panels. In fact, Apple has been quite late to join the OLED bandwagon, as by now most smartphone manufacturers has already started using LED panels for their flagship devices....

Now unlike other devices, Sense seems to employ machine learning to decide on its action and also learn the preferences of the family members. Launched at Kickstarter, Sense acts like the Brain of the interconnected things, quite literally. Sense will be able to pair up with most of the devices including Philips Hue, LIFX, Nest and Sonos. It is very likely that the interface for more devices will be developed soon....

Unfortunately, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 couldn’t live up to some of its promised claims. Qualcomm soon realized this and introduced a significantly improved Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset in the market, which utilized TSMC’s 4nm node instead of Samsung’s 4nm offering to offer better performance and efficiency on high-end smartphones. A year later, at the Snapdragon Summit 2022 in Hawaii, Qualcomm has now introduced a successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1—and the latest mobile platform for premium smartphones—the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2....

I had erred in predicting that the Jio Phone would not have an app store, but it is official now that it does.
