The loophole seems to be a SS7 flaw in the architecture of the signalling system which is devised to allow mobile phone roaming across telecom providers. SS7 signalling protocol was developed way back in 1975 and now in the current cellular setup it is used to perform transitional functions including, prepaid billing, SMS, local number portability among a host of other services. Flags were raised in 2014 when it was reported that a protocol vulnerability of the SS7 will allow non state actors to track the movement of cellphone users from any location across the world with a success rate of 70 percent....

SamMobile is allegedly saying that the Galaxy S6 will be equipped with a 20-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and a 5-megapixel front one. It seems that both sensors will be made in-house. This does seem to be pretty realistic, if we corroborate it with previous rumors which were suggesting the protruding camera could make the handset wobble when placed on its back. As for the front-facing camera, it’s said to be the same as the one found on the Galaxy A series....

The XR is a very different kettle of fish from the 5C. Yes, we know that there are obvious similarities between the two devices (hey, we just outlined them), but there are differences too. And those are telling ones. And perhaps the most important of them all is that while the iPhone 5C basically was a refreshed iPhone 5 and played second fiddle to the 5S (the flagship in 2013) in hardware departments, the iPhone XR is actually not that far behind....

In a recent leak, the press renders of the OnePlus 5 have surfaced. The latest OnePlus 5 image published by Android Police is apparently the most accurate one while the earlier live image is debunked to be the actual phone that will enter the production. This is quite possible since several prototypes of the phones are designed before going for the production. Smart design with a touch of fun It is a very promising debut as well. The Nord Buds get a lot of things right, starting with their design. We got the White Marble variants and liked their slightly unconventional look with flattened stems with tiny mirror-like metallic discs on them for touch controls. The Oppo R17 Pro’s biggest highlight, by far, is the rear camera arrangement. As announced before, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 will be based on 10nm nodes. This is a marked improvement over the 14nm based Snapdragon 820 cores. The use of a smaller node means that this CPU will have a highly improved power efficiency. The leaked slides of the upcoming chipset reveal that it consumes about 40% less power than the previous generation model. In fact, the chipmaker goes to the extent of stating that its upcoming chip will consume half the power of a Snapdragon 801....

The Qualcomm 845 will also be offering a 30% increase in the graphics performance. The new Kyro 385 design will be based on ARM cores and will be built on Samsung’s 2nd-gen 10nm process.
