The Apple Watch is like the latter. Just released in India (we are not going into the “why so late in India” debate here – that is the company’s call, really), the watch is perhaps the world’s most talked about wearable and has been discussed threadbare – which is why we did not go into first impressions mode with it. It already has been seen on so many wrists for so long now....
Honestly, though, we think they could have just as well titled it “Stick Olympics,” as most of the sports covered in it seem to derive their gameplay from titles from the folks at Stick Sports, who are behind iconic games like Stick Tennis, Stick Soccer and are best known in India for their super casual, super addictive take on the Gentleman’s Game, Stick Cricket. But to get back to basics, the game is available as a free download on iOS and Android....
Dr. Philip Nitschke who calls himself as an activist for “voluntary euthanasia and rational suicide” has announced that he is close to finalizing a machine that will use Nitrogen gas to cause death. This device is aimed at offering an option to people who are suffering from illness, an option wherein they could die peacefully without any assistance. According to the Doctor, this way the patient will die peacefully with dignity....
There’s not much difference between the two, either. Both have a 6-inch tall 720p screen and are powered by a quad-core chipset. Oddly, though, the Galaxy J6, which theoretically should have an inferior processor, comes with an octa-core chip. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 sports a glass exterior with a metal unibody chassis. The main highlighting feature of the phablet, however, is its huge Infinity Super AMOLED display. It’s a 6.3-inch Quad HD (2,960 x 1,440p) panel with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the Galaxy Note 8 features an Exynos 8895 Octa octa core processor with 6GB RAM. This is complemented by 64GB of internal storage. Globally, there are 128GB and 256GB storage variants, but we aren’t sure if they are being launched in India....
Galaxy S10 Design The Galaxy S10 sports a 6.1-inch Quad HD+ Curved Dynamic AMOLED with a 19:9 aspect ratio, coming in at a pixel density of 550ppi. For protection, the display comes with a Gorilla Glass 6 protection that prevents it from scuffs and scratches. The S10 is offered in four different colours: Prism White, Prism Black, Prism Blue, and Flamingo Pink. Galaxy S10 Specifications Under the hood, the S10 is powered by either the Samsung’s Exynos 9820 chipset (in Europe) or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 (in Asia, USA), 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 512GB of internal storage (expandable up to 512GB using microSD)....
Looks like their main focus is on the S20 series, and the limited stock of the Z Flip can also be a factor as to why it may be coming to India at a later stage. Also, since Samsung manufactures its phones locally, India may not be having the facility to manufacture the Z Flip which can also be a factor contributing to the delay. Anyhow, let’s focus on the Galaxy S20 series for now....
The latest leak shows off how powerful the Galaxy S7 is although the benchmarks might be different for the production spec model. The test results show that Galaxy S7 will be running the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and will be supported by the Adreno 530 GPU unit. Galaxy S7 was listed as SM-G935A and it was running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Previous round of leaks had inadvertently pointed that the Galaxy S7 would either be powered by the Snapdragon 820 or the Samsung Exynos 8890....
A recent teardown performed by Chipworks says that Samsung has actually used more of its own chips to power the new Galaxy S6 smartphone than it did with the Galaxy S5. Thus, U.S. chip supplier Qualcomm has apparently taken a bigger hit than it was initially thought, since Samsung is the incontestable leader of the Android market. Besides its own Exynos mobile processor, the South-Korean company is also resorting to its in-house semiconductor business for the modem and power management integrated circuit chips....
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Samsung said in a filing with South Korean regulators that it would permanently cease sales of the device, and not just temporarily halt the production as it was reported yesterday. This is what a company spokesperson had to say in the filing: Samsung had launched the Galaxy Note 7 back in August this year, a good month earlier than usual, seemingly to disrupt Apple’s sales of iPhone 7....
The report regarding Samsung halting Note 7 production is said to be in line with the safety regulators in the US, China, and Korea. It’s most likely that Samsung will themselves announce the news with a greater degree of detail. The things started taking an ugly turn after five replacement phone caught fire and a major chunk of Samsung’s carrier partners said that they would stop selling the phones in entirety....
The Chromebook 3 is powered by the Intel Celeron N3050 and will be made available in both 2GB/3GB RAM configurations. On the storage front, the Chromebook 3 offers 16GB of on board storage. The laptop is well endowed connectivity wise as it comes with Bluetooth 4.0, 720p Webcam, USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 Port and an HDMI out. The keyboard ergonomics seems something that the Samsung has attended to and as a result the keyboard comes with UL certified keycaps and the display is hinged to offer a tilt of 180-degrees....

According to Financial Post, Apple currently boasts a huge cash reserve of US$75.876-billion as of June 2011, while the US treasury department revealed on Thursday that it has just US$73.768-billion in reserves. It surely comes as a shocker for many. That’s right. Xiaomi is all set to launch the Mi 9 flagship smartphone in China on February 20th, the same day as Samsung’s Galaxy S10 series launch. The company has sent out invites to the Chinese media. Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun took to Weibo to announce the same and claiming “Xiaomi Mi 9 is a ‘super-powerful flagship’ from Xiaomi and the ‘Best Looking Mi phone so far.’” Meanwhile, multiple leaks and renders have flooded the Internet like this render below by Ben Geskin....
