Now, a fresh rumor from BuzzFeed suggests that the upcoming Android M software version will feature native support for fingerprint authentication. Of course, there are already plenty of Android device which feature fingerprint readers but they are using software built specifically by the OEM. With this new native feature, Google wants to make it easier for phone-making companies to include a fingerprint scanner in their devices. ArsTechnica too says that there have been hints in AOSP (Android Open Source Project, the Google leaded project for Android) that fingerprint readers were a planned feature....

A company called Vtech has come up with Kidibuzz, a phone that is designed exclusively for kids. The KidiBuzz makes use of the KidiConnect app and lets children send texts, paintings, drawings, animates stickers and also voice messages. All of the websites available are clubbed under the “popular pre-approved websites.” The children can also access music and watch videos from these websites. Starting from this year’s September, Xiaomi’s Android phones that currently include the Mi5, Mi4S, Redmi Note 3, Mi Max and Redmi 3, will be bundled with a range of Microsoft Office products that contain Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and their video calling platform, Skype. These offerings, however, may vary by devices, operators or particular markets. Microsoft has executed such operations before with companies like Asus, Samsung, Sony and as far as customer experience is concerned, it won’t come in the way as the titles can be uninstalled....

The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro may very well be the rebranded variant of the Redmi 2 Prime which is currently being sold in India with a bumped up RAM. The FCC documents reveals the specifications of the Redmi 2 Pro which includes the 4.7-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 410 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of Internal memory and a 2200 mAh battery. The phone will be compatible with GSM bands 850 and 1900 along with 2,4 and 7 which hints at the fact that the Redmi 2 Pro will be compatible with major US carriers....
