Like Captain America, the OnePlus One was a bold experiment in a market that was getting very predictable. Just as Steve Rogers, a virtual nobody, was transformed into a superhero by some very innovative technology, OnePlus was transformed from being a run of the mill device, thanks to some supremely clever technology and marketing....

The first one and perhaps the most important is a brand new Apple A7 chip which integrates a powerful CPU and a GPU to match the computation. Besides being simply faster, this new-generation unit is the very first 64-bit chip mounted on a smartphone, opening a new age in technical battles and also, in development. The bright minds behind this project are Andrew Huang and Sean Cross, who spent over a year working on the Novena laptop. Huang is widely credited as the man who broke open the original Xbox. Since the laptops and all the instructions are aimed at a small number of buyers, they aren’t exactly cheap. Just the Novena board will cost you $500 and ships November this year while a pledge of $1,995 to the Novena campaign at Crowd Supply will land you a laptop with an estimated shipment deadline in January, 2015....

OnePlus has managed to encase a huge 6-inch AMOLED panel in roughly the same footprint of the OnePlus 5. To accommodate this, the corners are now curved which, as you’d guess, yields a more comfortable grip for handling the slightly taller phone.
