We hope by now you have figured out that we are talking about the Nokia 3310, the feature phone which made a comeback after 17 long years. While it was no secret that the Nokia 3310 was going to (re)launch at the MWC, we did not really know what to expect from the phone. The previous version of the phone had sold millions of units and people around the world had various “memories” attached to the phone which obviously brought in the “nostalgia” factor....

The WiFi Alliance has detailed out the major features of the WPA 3 and the new authentication protocol is expected to be available later this year. New protocols and standards often prescribe to higher security standards and also offer better features while addressing the shortcomings of the previous protocols. The new music streaming app has been created by Airtel’s in-house team and is aimed towards providing a better digital entertainment experience to millions of smartphones users spread across Tier 2 and Tier towns and villages. In a nutshell, the app is an extension of Wynk Music which allows users to stream audio and video of popular tracks within the same interface. Starting off with the looks, the exterior, the Mi Band 3 retains its traditional look with a pill-shaped tracker that fits snug into a matte black silicone strap. What’s changed though is the flat display on the Mi Band 2 is now replaced by a touch-sensitive 3D curved glass with an ever so slight depression at the bottom which acts as a touch capacitive button. Sunlight legibility was an issue with the Mi Band 2, and the Mi Band 3’s OLED panel, unfortunately, doesn’t do significantly better....

Mi Band 4: Design and Display In terms of design, the Mi Band 4 features a 0.95-inch colored AMOLED display with a 2.5D glass on top and a screen resolution of 240 x 120 pixels, which makes it around 39.9% bigger than the previous model. It offers up to 5ATM (50 meters) of water resistance and comes in five different color options: Black, Brown, Blue, Orange, and Pink. Mi Band 4: Hardware The band features 6-axis high-precision sensors that allow it to recognize and track different types of activities....

The Xiaomi Mi8 Lite offers a notch-equipped 6.26-inch 1080p screen with an aspect ratio of 19:9. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 octa-core chipset and comes in either 4GB or 6GB RAM flavors. There’s 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage which can be expanded with a MicroSD card. The phone comes preloaded with Android 8.1 and Xiaomi’s own custom skin, MIUI. The Mi8 Lite features two camera sensors on the rear — a primary 12-megapixel lens with an aperture of f/1....

Xiaomi Redmi 8A: Design and Display The Redmi 8A features an ‘aura wave grip design’, which, according to the company, offers a handy grip in hand. On its front, the phone has a 6.22-inch HD+ TFT display with a 1520×720 pixels screen resolution, a dot notch to house the front camera, and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Further, to offer better protection against accidental drops and water splashes, there is a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top, along with P2i splash-proof coating....

Ever since last year, Xiaomi has started launching multiple smartphones in short interval of time. Previously, the Chinese OEM used to unveil only a handful of devices in yearly cycles. However, increasing competition in both homeland and abroad has forced the OEM to follow a different strategy. Thus, it isn’t a surprise to see the company working on the Redmi Note 5 in such a short span of time. The leaked specs on Weibo indicate that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be a slightly upgraded version of the recently launched Note 5A....

Although the company hasn’t announced the pricing of Mi 4 in India, we expect it to price the smartphone anywhere between Rs.17,000 and Rs.20,000. The Mi 4 is currently priced at ¥1999 which is around Rs.20,000, and the new Mi Note which comes with a bigger display, better camera and Dual 4G connectivity, starts at ¥2299 while the Mi Note Pro starts at ¥3299. The Meizu PRO 5 continues the company’s tradition of releasing flagships without Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors. Much like OnePlus, Meizu has stuck to Full HD display on the PRO 5 without going for the QHD screens which have become a norm for flagships these days. The Meizu PRO 5 has an all metallic build like its predecessor, the MX 5. This is not to say that the Mi brand has been totally absent from the Indian market. Yes, the phones have largely gone missing – the last Mi flagship to be launched in Indian was the Mi Mix 2 in the second half of 2017 – but the Mi brand has been more seen on televisions, air purifiers, fitness bands, and other products, leaving the phone arena largely to the Redmi series of devices....

According to the Times of India, Microsoft is waiving the license fee of Windows Phone for these two OEMs, whose Windows Phone devices are likely to hit the market in the next few months. Both Lava and Karbonn are known for their budget Android smartphones and feature phones in India. Waiver of license fee from Microsoft is kind of surprising, as the company reportedly charges $20 to $30 for each Lumia device sold by Nokia, which went Windows Phone exclusive in 2011, and acquired by Microsoft last year (pending regulatory approval)....

We already knew pretty much all of the specs of the Lumia 550 thanks to a leak from two weeks ago. The Windows 10 smartphone has a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 210 processor and LTE but the rest of the specs haven’t been yet officially announced.
