Micromax, India’s second largest smartphone player, has launched today the Micromax MAd A94 smartphone, which carries the Micromax MAd application which will let users watch advertisements and earn points. Rahul Sharma, Co-founder at Micromax said the following with regards to the launch: The Micromax Canvas MAd A94 has a 4.5 inch full touch screen with a 5MP rear and front camera. Inside, there’s a 1.2 GHz quad core processor and a 1800 mAh battery which should ensure 5 hours of talktime and 150 hours on standby mode. The device runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2, and packs new features like the M!Live portal, the BBM & Hike for Instant Messaging, Spuul to Watch Free Movies, Kingsoft Office to read, write and edit attachments On-the-Go, Opera Mini browser for optimal net surfing. The device also has 512MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. Connectivity-wise, Bluetooth v4.0 and Wi-Fi are also present.The Micromax MAd A94 will be available across all leading retail outlets in India from January 17, 2014 at a price of 8490 rupees.
