The all-new SoCs are exclusively designed for computers, particularly the laptops and tablets, and aim at delivering faster cellular connectivity to the premium, as well as, entry-level Notebooks. Qualcomm says “the portfolio is available in various price points allowing partners to design always on, always connected PCs for a wide array of consumers.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c
The Snapdragon 7c platform is mainly targeted towards the entry-level devices. Qualcomm says the SoCs will provide faster connectivity with the Snapdragon X15 LTE modem and offer a 25% boost in the system performance and up to twice the battery life as compared to its competitors. At the core of the SoC, the Qualcomm Kyro 468 CPU and the Adreno 618 GPU promise to deliver improvements in performance and battery life. Besides this, the Qualcomm AI Engine present on the platform suggests offering over 5 TOPS of AI performance in tandem with Windows 10.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8c
The Snapdragon 8c is a 7nm platform that is built with performance and multi-tasking in mind. It claims to offer a performance boost by up to 30% over the Snapdragon 850 processor with its faster CPU performance and also suggests improved battery life. The inclusion of the Snapdragon X24 LTE modem enables multi-gigabit connectivity speeds for a seamless cloud computing experience. Similarly, the Qualcomm AI Engine ensures 6 TOPS of performance for machine learning applications, and the GPU managing to provide better graphics performance.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Enterprise
The Snapdragon 8cx Enterprise platform builds upon the existing Snapdragon 8cx announced last year. It allows manufacturers to take advantage of the optimized system performance and connected security software to offer an extra layer of security and aid with better performance. In addition, it also allows the platform to take advantage of its performance along with improved battery life and connectivity to offer a more powerful machine with built-in security to keep the data secure.
