The Samsung Galaxy J3 comes equipped with a 5-inch HD display offering a pixel density of 294 PPI. The phone is powered by a quad core SoC clocked at 1.2GHz and paired with a 1.5GB of RAM. The storage options include 8GB/16GB variants alongside an expandable microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 128GB. On the imaging front, the Galaxy J3 heralds with 8-Megapixel primary sensor and a 5-Megapixel secondary sensor. In order to appease selfie lovers, Samsung has also incorporated the front camera sensor with LED flash. The S Bike mode is aimed at helping bikers deal with the calls and other notifications they get whilst riding. This mode not only mutes the phone but will also send a preset automated message that would inform the caller that you are currently unavailable to take calls. In case of important callers, the caller can press 1 ending up in white listing the call and alerting users about the same. S Bike mode is activated when the biker taps his phone on the NFC tag which is ideally placed on the bikes fuel tank. The caller is alerted that the person is riding his bike and the prerecorded message asks the caller to press 1 if the call is urgent. Samsung Galaxy J3 heralds with the usual bunch of connectivity features including 4G LTE support, Dual SIM, microUSB v2.0 and A-GPS. The phone is backed by a 2600mAh battery pack and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.1. Although the phone was launched back in November last year, it has been tweaked with some new features specifically for the Indian market. The Galaxy J3 will be available in 3 colors – Gold, Black and White. At Rs 8,990, it seems to be pretty overpriced considering just the specs, but then it’s the only phone to come with the special S Bike feature. Stay tuned for our review in coming days.
