The Galaxy J3 Pro sports an attractive metal-finished polycarbonate build stepping up from the existing J3’s pale look. It comes equipped with a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display on the front and the Spreadtrum processor is mated to a 2 GB RAM. The internal storage is limited to 16 GB, however, it can be further expanded up to 128 GB via a MicroSD card slot. Underneath, it runs on a 2600 mAh battery and comes pre-installed with Android 5.1 (yes, the three-year-old OS) layered by Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI. On the camera front, it sports an 8MP rear f/2.2 aperture lens supported by a LED flash. A 5MP front facing lens with the same aperture is also available for selfies. Surprisingly, the phone comes packed with the majority of connectivity features including NFC, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Dual SIM expandability, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The Samsung J3 Pro also offers the S-Bike mode along with the Ultra Data Saving feature.

At the given price point the Galaxy J3 Pro goes at loggerheads with other budget contenders including Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A. The absence of Fingerprint sensor and the dated Android 5.1 is kind of a deal breaker on the Galaxy J3 Pro.
