The new Nubia X comes with a 6.26-inch 1080p screen on the front which has almost no bezels on either side. That’s because the company has skipped the selfie camera entirely and instead, added a second 5.1-inch screen on the back. That allows you to simply click selfies with the rear camera and preview them on the phone’s rear. The additional display can even remain always-on for showing you several details such as the time, notifications, and more. Apart from that, the Nubia X is your standard 2018 flagship. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB onboard storage, and a 3800mAh battery that does support quick charging. It comes preloaded with the company’s own Nubia UI 6.0 skin which is layered on top of Android 8.1. There are two camera sensors on the rear — a primary 16-megapixel f/1.8 lens and another 24-megapixel sensor for depth-sensing. The other quirky trait the Nubia X features is a pair of fingerprint readers on both the edges. While Nubia didn’t reveal why it didn’t just went with an in-display solution, we believe due to the second display panel, there’s simply no internal space left. The Nubia X starts at RMB 3299 (~ Rs 34,000) for the base 6GB RAM and 64GB storage option, while the one with 8GB RAM, 128GB storage costs RMB 3,699 (~Rs. 39,200). In addition, the variant with 256GB storage, 8GB RAM goes all the way up to RMB 4,199 (~Rs. 44,500). It will be available starting November 5th on a bunch of channels including Nubia’s own online store, TMall, JD, and Suning.
