Xiaomi has ensured that the QiCycle is a unique offering and it comes with features that will help it lure the prospective buyers. The QiCycle is extremely compact and is also pretty light at just 13.3KG. Further adding to its dimensional attributes is the fact that the QiCycle can be folded and stowed away. The main chassis of the Cycle is not welded to the rear bracket and instead hinged. It is this design that will let us fold the QiCycle. Interestingly the QiCycle works just like a Hybrid car, when the rider exerts pressure on the pedal the TMM (Torque Sensing Technology) jumps into action and supplements the force so that you can ride the cycle comfortably. The motor in use is a 250W 36v high-speed one which will also let you climb the inclines with relative ease. The QiCycle comes with Shimano gears with riding modes like-easy, standard and fast. The gears act as a backup to ease out the riding even if one runs out of charge. The QiCycle employs a Panasonic 18650mAh lithium battery in cahoots with the BMS (Battery Management System). The best part is that the Battery has been tucked away in the aluminium frame and the battery system we are talking about is made up of twenty 208.8Wh batteries. A full charge replenishes the QiCycle with a range of 45kms. Smart Meter is yet another highlight of this bike and is akin to the Engine Control Unit in automobiles. The smart meter monitors the speed, mileage and also the calorie burnt during riding. Of course, all of this data can be accessed through the companion app. The Xiaomi QiCycle has already been certified by the European electric vehicle standard and also boasts of IPX5 water resistance rating. Xiaomi QiCycle is priced at 2999 yuan (approx. Rs 30,650/$455) and will be available in China starting from today.
