Black Shark had introduced two mobile phones in the year 2018, the Black Shark and the Black Shark Helo. Both of which have been acclaimed for their performance and feature set. And after today’s announcement, we can expect to see more amazing products from the company in the future. The company marks its presence in over 29 countries, and now it is planning to open its headquarters in India’s very own Silicon Valley, Bangalore. Following which, the Vice President of Black Shark, David Li will be coming into a dual role and taking up the responsibility of India operations as the General Manager. In addition, Chirag Nagendra who once headed OnePlus India’s communication and content marketing programmes will be joining Black Shark and helping them in brand building, communications strategy, and collaboration with partners. The mobile gaming industry has grown multi-fold in the past year or so with games like PUBG, Arena of Valor, Honor of Kings and others. This is particularly true for the Chinese market, but the Indian users as well have grown particular interest in smartphone gaming. Asus, the Taiwanese OEM, had earlier launched the ROG smartphone in India. Others like Huawei’s Honor had also launched gaming-oriented smartphones like Honor Play in the Indian market.

While Xiaomi is an investor in Black Shark, the company operates completely independently in China and elsewhere. We still don’t have complete details as to when exactly the Black Shark will be launching in India, but be sure to keep checking TechPP for more details in the coming days.
